China's first helicopter airborne magnetotelluric detection system has been successfully applied to a plateau railway construction project, the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Aerospace Information Research Institute (AIR) said on Tuesday. Researchers have used the system to conduct geological surveys of high-altitude regions with extremely cold temperatures, complex terrain and harsh environments, providing critical data support for the project.
China has deployed its first domestically developed helicopter-borne magnetotelluric detection system, created by the Aerospace Information Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. This advanced system is being used in high-altitude railway construction projects for geological surveys at elevations up to 5,000 meters, successfully addressing challenges that ground-based surveys often face.
